Talk about trauma and situation you avoid. Audio record trauma and listen to it. Also slowly come into contact with situations that you avoid. Breathing techniques are used to help.

How it works

Take control of fears by practicing being with them until they do not trigger you. Get more comfortable through repeated contact.

Narrative Prolonged Exposure (NET)

What it is

Same as PE but you write out your trauma and reread it daily. Then begin to slowly confront a situation in everyday life.

How it works

Take control over fear through gradually experiencing situations previously avoided. Over time, this practice gets you comfortable with situation.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

What it is

Think about the trauma while following movement or sounds. May also talk about your trauma.

How it works

The movement and sound stimulates both sides of your btrain which helps to process the memories.
